I. In accordance with the "Implementation Guidelines for Promoting Taiwan Mother Language Day Activities in Senior High Schools, Elementary Schools, and Kindergartens".
II. In response to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) designating February 21st as World Mother Language Day to protect the precious asset of diverse languages worldwide, and in conjunction with Taiwan's local Lantern Festival riddle activities, to encourage students to learn and use various Taiwanese mother languages and Southeast Asian languages, this bureau is organizing the aforementioned online riddle guessing activity.
III. Relevant information is as follows:
(I) Target Audience: Students of public and private senior high schools and below in this city.
(II) Activity Period
1. School Promotion Period: From now until February 19, 113 (Monday). All schools are requested to cooperate with the promotion.
2. Student Online Answering Period: From now until February 19, 113 (Monday) at 5:00 PM.
(III) Implementation Methods
1. Competition Categories: Divided into Taiwanese Hokkien, Hakka, Indigenous Languages, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Cambodian, and Thai.
2. Content of Questions
(1) Taiwanese Hokkien and Hakka: Online answering of Taiwanese Hokkien and Hakka riddles.
(2) Indigenous Languages: Online answering of questions related to indigenous cultural artifacts and historical materials.
(3) Vietnamese, Indonesian, Cambodian, and Thai: Online answering of daily conversational phrases.
(IV) Notes for Student Participation: Participating students should access the homepage of this city's Indigenous Language Teaching Resource Network (URL: https://pthg.tp.edu.tw) within the online answering period. After logging in, students should enter their school, class, seat number, and name for lucky draw eligibility.
(V) Award Method
1. For participants in different categories, those who pass within the specified time are eligible to enter the lucky draw for the Mother Language Day Online Riddle Guessing Activity. Winners will receive prizes.
2. A public lucky draw is scheduled to be held during this bureau's Mother Language Day celebration event. The list of winners will be announced before 4:00 PM on February 22, 113 (Thursday) on this city's Taipei City Indigenous Language Teaching Resource Network (URL: https://pthg.tp.edu.tw).
(VI) Award Content
1. For participating students: 80 winners will be selected for the Taiwanese Hokkien group across all educational levels, 50 winners for the Hakka group, and 50 winners for the Indigenous Languages group. For Vietnamese, Indonesian, Cambodian, and Thai groups, 10 winners will be selected for each group. Each winner will receive a NT$500 bookstore gift certificate, with a limit of one prize per winning student.
2. For schools: The participation rate of students in schools (i.e., number of participating students divided by the total school enrollment) will be divided into the following three tiers, with a participation rate exceeding 30% required: (1) For schools with 12 classes or fewer (including 12 classes), the top 6 schools with the highest participation rates. (2) For schools with 13 to 36 classes (including 36 classes), the top 6 schools with the highest participation rates. (3) For schools with 37 classes or more, the top 6 schools with the highest participation rates.
3. Commendation for school administrative staff and relevant teachers: Five individuals will receive a commendation once.
