I. To encourage young students to enter the field of scientific research and understand science from diverse perspectives, the National Science and Technology Council has organized the Kiss Science event for six consecutive years since 2019. Our department is participating in this event by holding an open house to enhance public understanding of meteorological services.
II. The exhibition area for this event features various thematic exhibitions with explanations from specialists on the department's related services (popular science), including forecasting, earthquakes, astronomy, satellites, radar, meteorological observation (instruments), oceanography (instruments), etc., allowing people of all ages to gain a better understanding of natural sciences in fields such as atmosphere, earthquakes, oceanography, and astronomy. Additionally, there is an SOS (Earth Display System) theater and a new perspective on meteorology – a circular theater, enabling visitors to more intuitively understand the natural scientific phenomena occurring on Earth.
