I. To encourage young students to enter the field of scientific research and understand science from diverse perspectives, the National Science and Technology Council has organized the Kiss Science event for six consecutive years since 2019. Our agency is participating in this initiative by hosting an open house to enhance public understanding of meteorological services.
II. The exhibition area for this event features various thematic displays with dedicated explanations of our agency's related services (science popularization), including forecasting, earthquakes, astronomy, satellites, radar, meteorological observation (instruments), oceanography (instruments), and more. This aims to deepen the understanding of natural sciences in areas such as atmosphere, earthquakes, oceanography, and astronomy for people of all ages. Additionally, there is an SOS (Earth Display System) theater and a "Meteorological Reality New Horizon" circular theater, allowing visitors to more intuitively grasp natural science phenomena occurring on Earth.
