This event is jointly organized by our government, the Chinese Taipei Athletics Association, and the Chinese Taipei Road Running Association. It is scheduled to kick off at 6:30 AM on Sunday, December 21st, at the Citizen Square in front of our government building, with the finish line at the Taipei Municipal Stadium. Approximately 28,000 runners from home and abroad are expected to participate. Additionally, on the day before the race, Saturday, December 20th, there will be a fun breakfast run with 3km and 9km categories, both starting and ending at Citizen Square. The Taipei Marathon is a major annual event for our city and has been certified as a World Athletics (WA) Gold Label race. The marathon finish times can be used as a reference for Olympic qualification points, attracting even more runners from around the world to join the festivities.
