I. Basis:
(I) Guidelines for the Operation of the Ministry of Education's National and Preschool Education Administration's Subsidy Program for Reading Promotion in National and Junior High Schools.
(II) Taipei City's 112-115 School Years National Elementary School Children's Deep Reading Promotion Work Plan.
(III) Implementation Plan for Taipei City's 114 School Year National Elementary School Multilingual Arts Competition.
II. Purpose:
(I) To cultivate confidence in public speaking, thereby stimulating children's motivation to learn and enhancing their enjoyment of learning.
(II) To provide students with opportunities to share, appreciate, and learn languages through mutual observation and competition.
III. Participants:
(I) Students in grades 1, 2, and 3 of Xinyi Elementary School.
(II) The number of participants is limited to 1-3 people. Participants can be from different classes but not from different grades.
IV. Competition Date: March 3, 115 (Tuesday)
V. Competition Venue: Xinyi Elementary School Auditorium
VI. Registration Deadline: December 12, 114 (Friday).
VII. Competition Method:
(I) Topic: The competition material can be an original story or based on the theme of "Moral Character." Participants can adapt a story from "Classical Fairy Tales, Modern Fairy Tales, or Picture Books" and choose one story to participate in the competition.
(II) Time: Timing begins when the participant starts speaking. Each group will have 3 minutes to 5 minutes and 30 seconds to tell one story.
(III) Costumes and props are optional and should be operated and arranged by the students themselves. Teachers are not allowed to assist on stage.
(IV) Scoring Criteria:
1. Voice (pronunciation, intonation, fluency): 30%
2. Story Content (structure, vocabulary, creativity): 40%
3. Emotional Expression (demeanor, attitude, facial expressions): 15%
4. Creativity (innovation, uniqueness, supporting props): 15%
5. Time will be uniformly timed by the organizer, and deductions will be made from the total score.
VIII. Awards: The top three places in each grade level will be awarded certificates of recognition. If the total score does not meet the passing standard (80 points), the award may be withheld.
IX. These regulations shall be implemented after approval by the principal, and amendments shall be made accordingly.
